INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
METAL SYSTEMS

Use the Original Metal or Half-Carat snow guards on your metal, slate, tile and asphalt roof systems. Either model can be made out of the actual copper material, Follansbee Steel, Pre-finished Kynar 500 Metal, Stainless Steel, Brass, Galvalume or Aluminum used on the roof and applied with or without the pre-tinned back for soldering Mechanical Fastening is also available.

Pre-Tinned Solder Installation
1. Place Sno Gem base on shingle/slate so plate extension extends onto roof deck extension exposing the Sno Gem base only.

2. Proper location of Sno Gem base is verified if next course of shingle/slate covers over plate.

3. Fasten top of plate extension compatible nails/screws through two predrilled holes into roof deck securing Sno Gem position.
